Spatula Bot


We have created a new mecanum drive with our new spatula mechanism.

This robot is now performing quite well even at its early stages.
Note that this is not a complete robot and will still be subject to change.
Also we are trying some "unique" ways to fit into the 18*18*18 in box

 also note that there were some "operator errors" during this video

  1. Can I suggest an idea to keep the arm within the size limit? Cut in half, place an hinge connecting both halves, use pneumatic pistons to open and close the arm. It's like giving it an elbow (invent a small stopper so the arm doesn't fall more than it needs).

  2. The arm currently fits within the box limits. We feel that the 2 seconds it takes to raise the arm at the start of autonomous is a small penalty to pay to keep the arm design simple.
